LoBue Farms

Robert S. LoBue, General Manager, LoBue Farms, Inc
Son of co-founder Mario LoBue, with a degree in Ag. Business Management from University of California, Davis. After graduation in 1973, Robert worked for the Federal Land Bank as appraiser and loan officer.  In  1977 he came back to join the family operations, first working at several different positions in the packing house, then, in 1978 taking over various farming duties from the ailing Fred LoBue, Sr.  He was appointed to his present position of General Manager of LoBue Farms, Inc. in 1980.

A quick learner, Robert has been willing to adapt to new farming practices when warranted, yet has known to leave alone those that are working well. He directly oversees all technical aspects of weed and pest control, fertilization and irrigation as well as labor relations and financial management. Through his efforts at property acquisition and development, family citrus acreage, for which he is responsible, has nearly doubled during his tenure. He has also been involved in numerous industry associations and commissions where his input is genuinely valued and appreciated.
